BEST YOUNG ACTOR 2016
HUUUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Ology Superstar Amelia Flanagan (April in ITV’s Emmerdale) who has won BEST YOUNG ACTOR at the Inside Soap Awards for an unprecedented 3rd year running!!!!!! Such a fantastic achievement and so very much deserved – well done Amelia!!!
Amelia’s typical day at Emmerdale starts with her saying hello to whoever is on reception before making her way through to her dressing room passing the AD office on the way and chatting to anybody and EVERYBODY she passes on the way!
Once she’s found her outfit for the day from costume she often pops in to see her friends in wardrobe to see if she can do anything to help them before she goes on set, especially if it involves eating chocolates for them!
After that it’s make-up, where she sometimes ends up helping out too…
Once she’s been to makeup she’ll wait to be called to the set, often sitting with the ADs (Assistant Directors) and catching up with them or sometimes going to see her fellow cast members in their dressing rooms!
When it’s time to go on set she makes her way to whichever studio it is that day and gets ready to film doing line run-throughs, blocking and then rehearsals, depending on how long people take to get through it! She often helps out on-set too if she can!
Once her scenes are over for the day, Amelia makes her way home, making sure she says bye to everyone first! She looks forward to watching her episodes about six weeks later, wondering if she might have done a good enough job to get to go to another awards ceremony soon!
